Das italienische Fachmagazin „New Age and New Sounds“ bezeichnete Kaske in einem Artikel als „Cuore Elettronico di Berlino“ (Das Elektronische Herz Berlins).

„The Early Years“ feat. 1972-1999 recordings

MYTHOS was founded by multi-instrumentalist Stephan Kaske together with Thomas Hildebrand and Harald Weiße back in 1969.

305090_3921050419123_1837381902_nAfter hundreds of concerts they played very successful set on the legendary „Langelsheim Festival“ (the „German Woodstock“) in 1971. Therefore the band got their very first contract with the famous label OHR and one year later in 1972 released the first LP „MYTHOS“.

1981 Kaske founded the MYTHOS STUDIO BERLIN (MSB), which was a success from the beginning due to Kaske’s publicity. During the following years Kaske produced countless bands and projects as well as music for TV, radio, movies and commercials. At last in 1989 he released again pure MYTHOS music, within this period the „MYTHOS LIVE ALBUM“ which caused the most successful deal in MYTHOS‘ history.

Kaske’s productions not only gather international top critics, but also awards, e.g. the Duisburg „Schwingungen Ehrenpreis“. The CD „The Dramatic and Fantastic Stories of Edgar Allan Poe“ was honoured by the dutch magazine E-DITION as „CD-release of the Year. The italian magazine „New Age and New Sounds“ titled Kaske „Cuore Elettronico di Berlino“ (The Electronic Heart of Berlin).

Early 2009 Kaske started concepting a new live-programm as reaction on the intensive requests by promoters and fans. Technically without a central computer system, just using „native“ sequencers und arpeggiators plus flute, vocoder, electric bagpipe and a few othe instruments.
