As a little child, I spent a lot of time with my grandma at her house. Several times I slept in her room where she had an old clockwork that ticked all day and all night long. She is not with us anymore …
A few weeks ago I was at her house again, and I pulled up the clockwork. The pendulum started balancing and as I heard the sound of the ticking again I realized that the sound of the clockwork is recorded deep inside my mind…. and I had some wonderful memories.
These memories inspired me to compose this album called PENDULUM.
I dedicate this album to my grandmother Ütő Wilhelmine Sophie born Nord b.1908 – d.2004 and to her eternal memory.
I used to record this album some modern digital – Nord Wave, Nord Lead 4, Novation X-Station 25, Yamaha Reface DX, Roland System 1, Roland TR-8 – and analog gear – Moog Mother 32, Moog Sub 37 – along with some vintage stuff like a Yamaha Electone C 605 P organ routed through a modular synthesizer, a Keio Minipops 7 drum machine, a Kurzweil K2500 X and a Roland JD-800 etc.
